‘Why should Ghanaians pay E-Levy, what have you done for them?- Shatta Wale asks Prez. Akufo-Addo

Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has boldly quizzed the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo on why he’s bent on implementing the controversial electronic transaction levy (E-levy) while he’s aware he hasn’t impacted the life of the ordinary Ghanaian citizen with any social intervention program.
According to the highly opinionated Shatta Wale in one of his Facebook live session video, Ghanaians are now in deep economic crisis but insensitive Nana Addo wants to increase their burdens by implementing the draconian e-levy tax.
During Shatta Wale’s aggressive rants, he asked Nana Addo to first better the lives of Ghanaians by creating jobs, ensuring the effectiveness of NHIS, and other kinds of stuff before he asks the citizenry to pay E-levy.
The Electronic Transactions Levy (E-Levy) will be a tax on all MoMo transactions has received a great outburst by Ghanaians ever since it was introduced to Parliament in the 2022 Budget statement, and has since yet to receive parliament approval.
