Why are Gospel Musicians not chosen as Brand Ambassadors for corporate brands?

Is that Gospel doesn't sell, or the corporate world do not want to be associated with Gospel?

Ghana is mostly seen as a christian country which produces lots of great gospel musicians who have over the years brought the gospel to the Ghanaian homes, by comforting people in various ways.

Gospel music have over the years, have dominated the Ghanaian airwaves especially each other morning, almost every radio station begins it program with gospel music to serve as source of inspiration, motivate and uplift the listener and even the men and women behind the console to get their day going.

It is in the is regard, gospel musicians are seen as major part of the Ghanaian daily life, and after winning twice the ultimate prize at the biggest Music event in Ghana, there is no doubt, the gospel music brand isn’t huge. So one would easily ask, after all these years of hard work, and playing pivotal role, why isn’t the gospel musician considered for any brand ambassadorial work from corporate world, looking at how influential their music is, and how wide they travel to minister?

One popular facebook gospel music/christian activist, and Presenter on Xtel TV Airstar Xtel asks the big question, and pens down this;

“Kidi is the Brand Ambassador for very huge companies like Fidelity, Fanice, Guiness, Maggi. I am so proud of that young man and he is one celebrity in Ghana i’d love to meet in person. He is doing very well!

I have seen other secular brands who are ambassadors for several other big companies too but I don’t think i have seen any for Gospel until recently when Auntie Diana got signed with Kinaata for an Insurance company. Not even Joe Mettle is a Brand Ambassador.
Is it that the Gospel Artistes turn down the offer as they are mostly doing ‘Nyame edwuma’ or these companies don’t like being associated with Gospel or Gospel doesn’t sell in Ghana? This got me wondering today o. Cuz I heard there’s a lot of money in these ambassadorial deals and all of them go to the secular acts who already make more money than the Gospel when it comes to gigs. There are even more secular events than Gospel.
If fine, energetic and youthful MOGmusic Nana Yaw Boakye be brand ambassador for Apple or Barclays aaa abi e go nice oo. You people should do wild and clear the way o cuz Osborn Selassie is also coming. We wan chop the ambassadorial money some. Or Selassie, you no like? If you be CBG brand ambassador 😂😂😂🤣🤣
Funny enough, most of the heads of these institutions hold positions in our churches oo.
Why don’t they sign our Gospel Artistes?”
