Greater Accra Regional Minister, Hon. Henry Quartey (MP) has pledged GHS1,500 out of his salary as a Member of Parliament to veteran actor Psalm Adjeteyfio popularly known as ‘TT’ as monthly stipend till the end of the 8th Parliament which dissolves on 6th January 2025.
The gesture comes in the wake of a viral interview the legendary ‘Taxi Driver’ actor granted which went viral, of which he shared his current plight and asked for help to be able to pay up his rent. in the wake of this viral interview, the Vice President was first to the call, donating an amount of GHc50,000 of which GHc30,000 was to be used in paying his rent allowance for the next five years renewal every six month, and the rest for his upkeep.
Other individuals through social media posts, have also pledge to support the veteran who brought joy and comfort to the homes of Ghanaians in the early 2000s in devise ways, and the regional minister for capital city, and Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso Central constituency of the region, has also added his support, by dedicating an amount of GHc1,500 from his monthly salary as MP, to be paid to ‘TT’ till the end of the current parliament, which ends it’s tenure on 6th January 2025.
