Whenever Apple releases its latest iPhones, there’s a rush amongst especially celebrities from Africa to have it immediately after the release to somewhat show off, and perhaps show their worth on social media for the likes and clicks.
Ghanaian celebrities haven’t been left out in the rush to become the first to be seen using the latest apple device on the market. This year’s iPhone 13 which costs in a little of over $1000 has seen three Ghanaian personalities showing it off on their socials.
First was controversial Priestess turned Prophetess, Nana Agradaa in a video publicly declaring she was the first ‘Ghanaian celebrity’ to owe the device, in which she even went ahead to jab other so called celebs with it, then came ace TV broadcaster Nana Aba Anamoah, who has constantly over the years shown off whenever she receives a new iphone released, finally was the ‘East Legon Landloard’ Tracey Boakye, taking it a step further, with 2 of the iphone 13 pro max to prove her ‘bosschickness’.

This development has got socialite Efia Odo talking, and asking the big question, “is acquiring the latest iphone an accomplishment to the Ghanaian”?
she tweeted;
Why is acquiring the latest iPhone such an accomplishment to many Ghanaians? This really baffles me and I need answers cuz it’s quite embarrassing especially seeing “celebrities” posing with their new iPhone.
