Renowned gospel singer Mercy Chinwo has broken her silence on the challenges she endured with her former manager, shedding light on the alleged mistreatment she faced. Chinwo accused her ex-manager of bullying, issuing threats, and attempting to tarnish her reputation.
“You told me you made me who I am and that you would destroy me. But you are not God, and you cannot destroy me,” Mercy stated, recounting the heated confrontations that followed her decision to decline a 12-year contract. She alleged that her former manager forged agreements, withheld royalties, and created a toxic work environment.
The singer also addressed claims of smear campaigns targeting her collaborations with Pastor Nathaniel Bassey and Pastor Jerry Eze. “You said my son was not my son. You paid bloggers because you hate the people I work with,” she disclosed, highlighting the attempts to undermine her ministry.
Despite these challenges, Mercy Chinwo remains resilient and grounded in her faith. “You have bloggers, but I have God. His thoughts for me are of good and not of evil,” she affirmed, choosing to rise above the negativity and focus on her journey.
