Gospel musicians are more united than men of God – Nigel Gaisie
Founder and leader of Prophetic Hill Chapel, Prophet Nigel Gaisie, has appealed for greater unity among men of God, particularly prophets in Ghana.
Speaking at the funeral of Evangelist Agnes Aba Annan, the mother of renowned gospel singer Empress Gifty Adorye, Gaisie emphasized the importance of solidarity in the religious community. In an interview with GhanaWeb’s Isaac Dadzie, Gaisie extended his condolences to Empress Gifty, her family, and close associates, including Hopeson Adorye.
He noted that the funeral highlighted a significant display of unity within the gospel music industry, which he admired. “What I’ve learned is that the gospel artistes or the gospel musicians are united much more than we, the men of God. Among the apostles, pastors, and teachers, there is unity, but among prophets, we are divided. We are not united,” he stated.
Gaisie urged prophets and other religious leaders to strengthen their collective mission by fostering unity. “So among the men of God, unity is needed,” he added.
The funeral of Evangelist Agnes Aba Annan, also known as “Agaga,” was a grand occasion that featured performances from several renowned gospel artists, including ACP Kofi Sarpong, Broda Sammy, Kofi Kinaata, and Keche. It brought together notable figures from the gospel music and religious communities, as well as secular artists. The event took place on Saturday, January 18, 2024, in Tema.
