Ghana Dj Awards 2016 V-Dj nominee, Dj Krixmas has bodily stated, he is the cause of the major change and widely acceptance of video mix deejaying on Ghanaian television.
Weeks after missing out on the Best Video Dj of the year award, the Top TV VJ has lashed out on his colleagues, sighting he changed the face of Video Mix which in recent times has grown on Ghanaian television with his style of mixing, and introduction of viewers sending in request of their favorite songs they want to be played or added to the mix through video recording of themselves singing their requested song. This he thinks has made it viewer friendly and interactive attracting many audience to watch and enjoy his shows.
In an interview, Success Kells Paul as he is popularly known reiterated, “I changed the face of video mix Dj in Ghana” with my unique style of presenting it to the public, which has become more viewer interactive and i see others trying to copy that style. It’s all good for the development of the game, but we must all try to be unique to protect our brands. I stand for GH Hip hop and rap music, so that is what I keep portraying in my video mix to help sell it out to the masses, as well stand by it for my brand, and i want to been seen as such, he added.
Dj Krixmas is noted for his love for Hip Hop especially, Hip Hop made in Ghana, his Top Video Mix show airs exclusively on Saturdays between the hours of 12noon to 1pm, and repeats throughout weekdays same time and 11pm. His video mix comes in volumes, that is; GH HipHop Base Mix, Afro Mix, Dancehall Mix and Base Mix, of which predominantly features 80% of Ghanaian made music.
