
Report carried by the New Publisher newspaper of September 29th has it that, there’s a purported petition from a group of persons to get songstress, Wendy Shay’s new trending song ‘Heat’ banned.
This development has infuriated many music lovers, especially the ‘ShayGang’ on social media, which has led them into voicing out their displeasure in various tweets.
The hate for Wendy Shay is to much, the sad thing is how boys on Twitter will stress matters concerning Wendy Shay, I pray she stays strong in everything cos this is too much

Whilst there is a perception amongst netizens of this being a propaganda against the sitting government to paint them more black in the faces of creatives, others have suggest a verse in the song which goes; “Mo linke Mr John, y3 se w’aboa Nipa du…. 3s3waa,yes am here, s3 mose Nana aba…” which music enthusiast have broken it down and linked to the General secretary of NPP, which is the ruling party in government for a recent allegation that was brought up against him.
it is however unclear as to on what basis do the petitioners want the song to be banned, and whether it will hold water for government consideration.
