Ganiyu, Abalora named as New Asante Kotoko Club captains

Kumasi based, Ghana Premier league club, Asante Kotoko have officially announced their new club captains ahead of the commencement of the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League season, which kicks off on the weekend of October 29th, 2012.
Defender Ismail Abdul Ganiyu replaces departed Felix Annan as Club Captain, whilst goalkeeper Razak Abalora and Mudasiru Salifu deputizes.
The announcement comes in the wake of, acting club captain Emmanuel Gyamfi, who has served the Porcupine warriors over the years, seem to have fallen out with management over contract issues, and looks certainly moving away from the club ahead of the new season.
Ganiyu, Abalora and Salifu, who have all been in and out of Ghana’s national team, Blackstars in recent call ups, are seen has the new leaders and experienced ones to lead the record Ghana League holders into a new path which has seen many new faces being brought in, as well as a new technical team, led by Dr. Prosper Obeng as the head coach.
In acceptance, this is what new club captain of Kotoko, Ganiyu said via his twitter page;
