2020 Ghana Music Award Artist of the year winner, Kuami Eugene has thrown a big caution into the wind, stating fans and music lovers should give him up till December 2021, to flood the airwaves with bangers to limit the influx of foreign music on the Ghanaian airwaves as well as online portals.
The ‘Rockstar’ was answering a tweet made by one of the Ghanaian twitter influencers, which suggested Ghana music was going down again, and it’s been dominated by especially by Nigerian music not only on the Ghanaian airwaves but on streaming platforms widely used by Ghanaian.
He stressed, Nigeria is again gaining grounds in Ghanaian space especially with their music predominately dominating TikTok challenges which has become a widely popular platform in recent times to promote a music project. The tweet suggested, this trend is happening because the Lynx Entertainment signee had stopped releasing songs (Bangers) which has held Ghana music image in recent times competing toe to toe with foreign music.
In respond Eugene quoted with a reply stating, he has been quiet for sometime monitoring the recent trend, but promises to flood the system with back to back bangers which wont allow any room for foreign music to thrive, if only his own people don’t fight it as usual.
Below are the tweet;
Ghana music industry is gradually going down again & Nigeria music is gaining grounds coz of TikTok & Kuami Eugene has stopped dropping bangers. I’m not one of his cult fans but boy has held the industry in resent time & it’s a Fact. @KuamiEugene we beg drop something & save GH

That’s the main reason why I’ve been quiet for some time now. Give me now till December. I will flood the system so bad, there will be no room for Foreign music. That’s if our very own people don’t fight it as Usual. https://t.co/jBdsktuOpl
