Ghana Music Awards 2025 Unveils Best Urban/Contemporary Gospel Song Category
The organisers of the Ghana Music Awards, Charterhouse, have announced a new category for the 2025 event.
The new category, Best Urban/Contemporary Gospel Song, celebrates the talent driving Ghana’s music industry. It honours the most popular gospel song blending R&B, hip-hop, and other pop genres.
The winner will be chosen by the Academy, Board, and General Public. To qualify, the song must have been released commercially in the year under review and performed by a gospel artiste.
This initiative recognises the evolution of gospel music in Ghana. It highlights how artists merge traditional gospel with urban music.
